Gerberoy, an old fortified town, is ideal for taking the time to discover its cobbled streets, prettily decorated with flowers, and the charming 17th and 18th-century houses covered in roses. A striking 15th-century collegiate church inside the castle grounds dominates the town. Part of these grounds was laid out in a hanging garden by the post-impressionist painter Henri Le Sidaner and can be seen from the promontory on the ramparts.
