In the morning, a salamander pedestrian tour entitled "In search of Beauvais' past": follow the salamander studs on the city's pavements for a 7-kilometre tour of Beauvais history.
Thanks to an audio-guided tour, admire Saint Peter's Cathedral, including the world's highest Gothic chancel and its remarkable astronomical clock: 90,000 pieces, 68 automatons, 53 dials... simply a marvel!
Round off your historic tour of Beauvais by visiting the Oise Departmental Museum, housed in the old episcopal palace. The museum gathers together a rich, permanent collection of medieval wooden carvings and stone sculptures and a lovely collection of paintings from the Renaissance to the modern era, not to mention a fine collection of Art Nouveau furniture and Delaherche ceramics.
